The Role
The Bid & Pricing Finance Manager is a commercial and proposal specialist who works closely with staff at Oxfam Great Britain (OGB), Oxfam Affiliates, country, and regional colleagues to support the development of pricing models, cost proposals, and detailed budgets for all commercial tenders and complex grants from Institutional donors overseeing a portfolio of circa £1m + applications.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
* Professional accountancy qualification - e.g. CIMA, ACCA or qualified by experience
* Ability to lead a broad range of complex and high-value bids, showing knowledge and experience in leading best practice across both high-risk and high-value grants and tenders and across a range of donor agencies, clients, and funding mechanisms.
* Experience of developing cost/pricing models for commercial contract/ tender or grant opportunities from institutional donors like FCDO (Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office), AfDB (Asian Development Bank), SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation) etc.
* Experience of working with International Funding Institutions
* Experience of working on Payment by Results and building fee rates
* Excellent knowledge of Excel, such as pivot tables, macros, power queries, data validation, formulas, and logic statements; including skills to create finance models and reports with Power BI
* Financial, commercial, and business negotiation skills
* Experience of working with diverse stakeholders, including country offices, regional offices and affiliates or peers’ organisations' staff
* Strong planning, organization, and reporting skills to effectively meet deadlines
* Fluent written and spoken English
* Diplomacy, ability to influence others and to work effectively within a team
* Ability to influence outcomes, facilitate processes and work with others on tasks or projects, without direct line management authority
* Uses initiative and good at problem solving
* Cross-cultural communications skills: ability to collaborate in a high-pressure environment with colleagues of different backgrounds in different time zones.
