Infrastructure Architect - Silverfort SME
Location: Hybrid (Knutsford - 60% on-site / 40% remote)
Day Rate: £610 per day (Inside IR35, via PAYE Umbrella)

Overview
A long-term opportunity for an experienced Silverfort SME / Infrastructure Architect to join a large-scale enterprise environment and take ownership of a unified identity and access platform. You will serve as the subject matter authority for Silverfort, driving architecture, policy design, integrations, troubleshooting, and service enhancements across a highly regulated organisation.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Identity & Access Management (IAM) expertise and deep understanding of authentication protocols. Previous experience working within banking or financial services environments is highly beneficial, given the scale, complexity, and security-driven nature of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Own and operate the Silverfort platform as a core enterprise identity security service
Lead Silverfort architecture, policy development, and cross-platform integrations
Act as the primary point for escalated support, vendor interaction, and service improvements
Partner with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to resolve issues and support ongoing programmes
Produce high-quality technical and non-technical documentation, guides, and artefacts
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of Access Management, IAM, PAM, and MFA
Deep knowledge of Silverfort architecture, agentless MFA, and policy design
Solid experience with Active Directory and core authentication protocols:
LDAP
Kerberos
NTLM
RADIUS
Good knowledge of network fundamentals, including firewalls and proxies
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, working across multiple teams
Solid grasp of ITIL: Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Desirable Skills
Experience with Azure and Entra ID
Exposure to EDR/XDR security tooling
Scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and API understanding
Demonstrable experience creating clear, structured documentation
Financial services/banking sector exposure
