General Manager Requirements
* Previous experience as a General Manager of a gastro‑style pub (minimum 1 year), or proven track record in various pub/restaurant styles
* Consistent approach to driving the team to achieve the highest levels of guest service at all times
* Strong leadership and motivation to foster effective teamwork in line with company vision and direction
* Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptionally high‑standard service
* Highly motivated, proactive and reliable
* Available to work up to 48 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
* Financial understanding, experience with P&L, sales and labour budgeting
* Right to work in the UK
General Manager Responsibilities
* Overall management of the pub in line with company procedures and brand standards
* Lead by example with a hands‑on approach to training, coaching and development of the team
* Engage with the local community to improve repeat business, reputation and position the pub as an essential pillar
* Inspire a passion for delivering great food and service culture throughout the team
* Overall responsibility for health and safety of guests, team and visitors – constant administration of fire procedures, kitchen and health & safety assessments
* Ensure standards comply with licence as the Duty Paid Staff (DPS)
* Oversee ordering to ensure alignment with requirements while controlling stock and wastage levels
* Prepare team rosters at least 2 weeks in advance, inline with labour budgets

What We Do
We own a collection of beautiful and individual premium pubs across Southern England. Our pubs are in idyllic settings in country villages and towns, where we are proud to be the local quality touchpoint, serving high quality fresh pub food in a cosy ambience. Most of our pubs also offer charming bedrooms. New to our growing family is Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American steakhouse brand that we started rolling out last year.
