About the role:
The Material Controller is responsible for processing, monitoring and auditing all stock within the Stores department.
Primary responsibilities:
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
Monitor all of Score and client owned stock as per procedures
Process all stock orders received via D365 and Customs Tracker
Undertake stock audits on an on-going basis
Organise all stock movement within the department, ensure location accuracy and suitability of location
Process stock returns and relocations in a timely order
Follow correct procedures including FIFO when picking and distributing spares to Customer jobs.
Carry out general housekeeping duties within Stores designated areas
Handle stock enquiries for potential sale
Ensuring care is taken when carrying out forklift (reach truck) tasks especially when transporting heavy goods and working at height within the racking areas.
Ensuring goods are correctly packaged when sending out for Customer orders and Sub-con.
Collate coverall laundry and ensure timely return and resolve any discrepancies of same
Recycling and disposal of packaging materials
Cover Goods Inward Receipt roles during holidays
Reporting any day-to-day issues or queries to stores leadership team
General Housekeeping
Qualifications and Experience
Forklift experience
Understanding of stock control systems
Computer literate and competent in using D365, Microsoft Word and Excel
Ideally – Experience in a stores or materials role.
Experience in a role which requires organisation and prioritisation.
Previous working knowledge of Dangerous Goods Air, Sea & Road standard is desirable
