Unter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established organisation with their search for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join their busy facility in Knottingley
Duties for the role will include:
* Ensuring that all staff and management are regularly kept informed of all Health & Safety matters and also communicating all H&S requirements from the management team to all operational staff on site when required
* Provide guidance and advice on adherence to Health & Safety policies, legislation, industry standards
* Support Management in the planning, implementation and review of H & S requirements.
* Create regular Health & Safety reports on site and presenting these to senior Management on site
* Advise on all health and safety competency and also any training requirements within the team and ensuring the implementation of this training on site
* Being the point of contact and responsible for the investigation of accidents and incidents
* Make sure that all compliance / reporting is carried out in according with set company protocol and standards
* Support the management in development of a Health & Safety conscious cultural on site
* To develop strategies in site to continue develop this culture and ensuring high H&S standards are always met
* Be the point of contact between all operational staff and Management for all H&S Matters
The Ideal Candidate will be…
* The successful candidate will have experience in a similar Health & Safety Role
* Possess the appropriate Health & Safety Qualifications including the NEBOSH Certificate
* Previous professional experience within a management role would be ideal
* Proven ability to create reports and present these to all levels of a business
* Excellent understanding of EHS processes, standards and improvement techniques
* Good leadership, coaching and influencing skills at all levels would be a distinct advantage
* Excellent communication skills with senior Management and director level
