A well-established and growing business based in Driffield is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will:
1. Manage the purchase ledger process end-to-end, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and authorised in a timely manner.
2. Assist with sales ledger duties including raising invoices and chasing outstanding payments.
3. Carry out supplier and customer statement reconciliations.
4. Support payment runs and bank reconciliations.
5. Assist with month-end processes and provide support with reporting where required.
6. Handle finance queries from internal departments and external stakeholders professionally.
7. Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as needed.
The ideal candidate will:
8. Have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role.
9. Demonstrate strong purchase ledger knowledge with good attention to detail.
10. Be organised and capable of managing their own workload.
11. Have strong communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
12. Be confident using accounting systems and Excel.
13. Be keen to develop and grow within a stable business environment.
