At QinetiQ we are creating tomorrow by empowering and protecting lives. Join us as a Associate Network Engineer at our Malvern site, where you will work with cutting‑edge technology alongside brilliant minds.

The RoleAs a Associate Network Engineer you will support QinetiQ and MOD customers, solving problems, learning new skills and contributing to critical projects in an ITIL‑based environment. Day‑to‑day you will investigate and resolve technical issues across the network, support multiple projects, ensure secure transfer of data and work closely with project managers, technical leads and senior engineers.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

* Investigate and resolve technical issues across networks and systems
* Support multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of technical outputs
* Assist with the implementation and configuration of new systems and solutions
* Escalate complex problems to senior engineers or technical leads when required

Essential Experience Of The Associate Network Engineer

* Hands‑on experience in networking, IT, communications or cloud computing
* Experience in Level 23 helpdesk roles or 13 years as a networking engineer in an IT department
* Understanding of Microsoft, Windows, Linux, CISO or coding environments would be advantageous
* Ability to investigate problems, provide solutions and escape complex issues
* Professionalism and experience in a structured IT environment

Essential Qualifications For The Associate Network Engineer

* Degree in engineering or equivalent IT‑related experience
* Hands‑on experience working on IT architecture or network systems

This role is 37 hours per week based at Malvern. Flexible working patterns available.

Malvern The Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities. Developing technologies for military and civilian applications, including sensors, communications and cyber security.
