2nd Line Support Engineer
Salary: £30,000–£40,000 (DOE)
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Paddington, London – 4 days in office
Experience: 5+ years of IT support mandatory (no sponsorship)

They’re seeking a talented IT Support Engineer to join their team and deliver expert support and project solutions to clients.
The Opportunity:
The role blends second-line support with hands-on end-user support, covering Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and Teams administration. The 2nd Line Support Engineer role is ideal for someone comfortable with update and patch management, light scripting, device builds and imaging, BIOS configuration, as well as mainstream endpoint management and security tooling. Experience with platforms such as Intune, SCCM, and Defender-based solutions would be especially valuable. It’s a great match for someone who enjoys combining user-facing work with deeper technical problem-solving across the Microsoft ecosystem
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide daily support for Windows desktops, laptops, mobiles, and MS 365 Teams
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, network issues, and basic cabling
* Support MS 365 apps, Intune, Teams, and collaboration tools
* Escalate complex issues with first-line support
* Manage device health, patching, and security
* Train users on MS 365 Teams features and best practices
* Maintain documentation of devices, configurations, and processes
* Assist with IT projects, deployments, upgrades, and service improvements
* Track IT assets, manage repairs, and software licences
* Administer user accounts, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists
Your Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience supporting Windows desktops and devices
* Strong hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skills; basic cabling knowledge
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, and desktop applications
* Experience with security, patching, and compliance
* Able to explain technical issues to non-technical users
* Proactive, organised, and adaptable
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, CompTIA A+) are a plus
