Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of all lifting and rigging operations on site. This includes planning and following approved lifting plans and procedures. Implementing safety regulations and coordinating wider maintenance team to support the removal, installation and repositioning of machinery and equipment.


What does the day to day look like?

* Execute lifting and rigging tasks in accordance with site-specific lifting plans and safety procedures.
* Ensure all lifting operations comply with relevant legislation and Ineos FPS company standards.
* Assist maintenance teams with the removal and refitting of mechanical equipment and plant components.
* Inspect and maintain rigging loft equipment and keep accurate records, ensuring Ineos FPS lifting equipment meets the current lifting equipment colour codes.
* Conduct pre-use/after-use inspections or rigging gear and lifting equipment.
* Work safely in challenging environments, including at height, in confined spaces and near live plant and equipment.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with lifting operations.
* Communicate effectively with Control of Work Team, Crane Operators, Supervisors and other team members.


what do I need?

* NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Moving Loads or Erecting
* Rigging and Fleeting
* Working at Height/Harness Equipment User
* Overhead Gantry Crane
* Trained in the use of MEWP (Mobile Elevated Working Platform), Counterbalance Forklift B1 and Telehandler
* Ability to interpret lifting plans and technical drawings
* Comfortable working in physically demanding and high-risk areas
* Work well as part of a team

Formal Interview

Successful applicants will be invited to face to face interview, which will consist of behavioural and technical questions. For some roles the recruitment process may also include technical testing, behaviour questionnaires and/ or a delivering a presentation.

Before commencing work with Ineos FPS you will need to complete our pre-employment screening process. This will consist of a pre-employment medical, employment history reference and qualification verification check. Some roles may also require a criminality check.
