We are recruiting for a full time Accounts Assistant to join an established company based in Basildon on a temp to perm basis (after 12 weeks). The hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am - 1:45pm. Who doesn't love an early finish every Friday? This is a fully office-based role with free parking on-site and paying a salary of £13.30 per hour. Please note you must be able to drive due to the company location. Duties will include but not be limited to: Dealing with telephone queries in a timely manner Monitoring the account inbox and responding to email queries Updating and maintaining financial accounts and documentation Posting bank statements, payments and receipts Managing sales and purchase ledger to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts Processing invoices and sending invoices to customers via email and post Scanning account receivable and account payable delivery notes Supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks as and when requiredTo be successful for this position, you must have excellent organisation and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
