Registered Manager - 2-Bed Children's Home (EBD)

Salary: £46,000 per annum
Potential Earnings: Up to £52,000 through bonuses
Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our 2-bed children's residential home in Barnsley (S75), supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an exciting opportunity to take the reins of a well-established home with a current 'Good' Ofsted rating and drive it towards 'Outstanding' through strong leadership, high standards, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality, and compliance of the home, ensuring it provides a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for young people.
You'll manage and develop a dedicated team, promote a culture of professionalism and empathy, and work closely with external partners to achieve positive outcomes for each child in your care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the 2-bed EBD home in line with Ofsted standards and company policies.
Safeguard and promote the welfare and well-being of all children and young people.
Lead, motivate, and support a small, skilled team to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Maintain and build upon the home's 'Good' Ofsted rating, striving for continuous improvement.
Build strong working relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals.
Ensure effective care planning, documentation, and quality assurance systems.
Oversee rota management, budgets, and on-call responsibilities.
Promote a positive and empowering environment for both staff and young people.
About You
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a children's residential care setting.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection procedures.
Experience supporting young people with EBD and complex needs.
Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a small team effectively.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
