We are looking to recruit Senior Rail Replacement Coordinators to expand our team of highly passionate, customer focused and engaging people. As a senior Coordinator you will conduct audits, provide training and general welfare to our Coordination team members where required and support a smooth and consistent delivery of our rail replacement operation. You will work from a variety of key train stations, providing support to our road transport operators and information to our customers ensuring the operation runs exactly as planned.
We are looking for individuals that can work flexibly, are keen to showcase their Rail Replacement Coordinator skills and coach and train others to their high standards. Senior Rail Replacement Coordinators will deliver key safety and compliance updates to the team, motivate, and empower team members, to ensure consistent customer engagement and focus, maintaining high standards of delivery and service. You will deliver audits amongst other responsibilities and undertake on site assessments as required. We are looking for individuals with strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability to really enhance the operation for customers, making a positive difference to every customer journey. Responsibilities
* Ensure that on-the-ground standards are met in line with client expectations.
* Maintain high levels of safety in line with agreed risk assessments and method of works for each location.
* On-site support to Coordinators, advising on adjustments to the replacement service as circumstances change.
* Assists, advises and supports on any failures in delivery of the operation with support from Control, including sensible use of standby vehicles and adjustments to maintain punctuality.
* Provide weekly feedback to the Coordination team on Coordinator audits and station checks (via written inbox correspondence).
* Help maintain a safe transfer and pick up/set down area for customers on-site and assist other Coordinators.
* Undertake Coordinator on-site assessments including uniform checks, app checks, and welfare checks; document results and provide feedback to relevant team members.
* Record all service incidents, escalate where appropriate, and provide thorough feedback within 48 hours to the Coordination Team after your shift.
* Conduct Standards spot checks at locations as required and Coordinator audits at locations requested by the Coordination Team.
* Provide training to current Coordinators including coaching and mentoring; shadow shifts for new starters and complete relevant training paperwork and sign-off.
* Assist with onboarding and training of new starters (new Coordinators).
* Be the main point of contact for the relevant Station Facility owner/Client representatives on site to ensure clear, accurate, and timely information for a safe and smooth operation.
Person specification
* Full and valid driving licence
* Previous experience working as a Rail Replacement Coordinator
