Rehabilitation Support Worker / Senior Rehabilitation Support Worker Location: Barnsley area, South Yorkshire Service Type: Residential Care Home Service Users: Up to 13 adults Care Focus: Physical Disability and Younger Adults Contract: Permanent Shifts: Days and Nights Available About the Role We are recruiting Rehabilitation Support Workers and Senior Rehabilitation Support Workers to join a well-established, high-quality residential care service based in the Barnsley area of South Yorkshire. This service supports adults with complex physical needs, including individuals with acquired brain injuries, within a structured, person-centred residential environment. As part of this role, you will work closely with a wider multidisciplinary team to support individuals to maximise independence, develop practical life skills and achieve meaningful personal outcomes. Pay Rates Rehabilitation Support Worker: £12.60 per hour, with an anticipated uplift from April, subject to confirmation. Senior Rehabilitation Support Worker: £13.60 per hour, with an anticipated uplift from April, subject to confirmation. Shifts and Working Pattern Shifts are structured to provide consistency and work-life balance, with early shifts running from 8:00am to 3:00pm and late shifts from 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Each shift includes a half-hour unpaid break. Staff typically work a mixture of early and late shifts across the week, and both day and night opportunities are available, depending on service needs and availability. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred support in line with individual care plans. This includes promoting independence, dignity and choice, supporting individuals with daily living activities, rehabilitation goals and social engagement. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure consistent, effective care delivery, maintain accurate records and follow agreed policies and procedures. Senior Rehabilitation Support Workers will also provide guidance, mentoring and day-to-day leadership to support staff, helping to maintain high standards of care and team performance. What We're Looking For We are looking for caring, motivated and reliable individuals with a genuine interest in supporting others. Previous experience in care, rehabilitation or support work is desirable but not essential for entry-level roles, as full training will be provided.
