Alliance is entering a pivotal phase of growth and we’re looking for a commercially curious, technically strong qualified accountant to join us as Senior Group Accountant.
This is a high‑impact role offering real ownership of the UK’s main trading entity, exposure to international operations, group consolidation, and statutory reporting, as well as the opportunity to lead and develop a small team early in your post‑qualification career.

What you’ll be doing
* Lead financial reporting for Alliance Pharmaceuticals Limited, the Group’s main UK trading entity
* Own month‑end journals, accruals, prepayments and supporting schedules
* Drive the month‑end close using FloQast, ensuring timely completion, high‑quality balance sheet reconciliations and audit‑ready documentation
* Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations
* Support group consolidations and board‑level variance analysis and commentary
Statutory Reporting & Audit (approx. 30%)
* Support the preparation and review of the Annual Report and Group Consolidated Financial Statements in line with IFRS
* Contribute to technical accounting projects and strengthening financial controls
* Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and manage audit deliverables
* Lead and coordinate statutory audits across overseas entities including Ireland, Germany, Thailand, Philippines and Hong Kong
Leadership, Projects & Business Partnering (approx. 30%)
* Line manage and develop 1–2 direct reports, including objective setting, coaching and review
* Partner with Supply Chain, Tax and wider business teams on invoicing, regulatory submissions and VAT / Corporation Tax support
* Deliver P&L and performance analysis using Prophix
* Support integration of acquisitions and divestments into Group finance systems and processes
What we’re looking for
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 2–3 years PQE (industry or practice)
* Strong technical grounding across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
* Experience producing work to audit‑ready standards with strong financial controls mindset
* Confident Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation and presentation)
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international, multi‑entity environment
* Natural collaborator with the confidence to engage stakeholders across the business
