Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are looking to appoint an Assistant SENCo to work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and our inclusion team to plan, deliver, and evaluate impactful learning activities across the school. You will play a key role in supporting both individuals and groups of pupils, implementing targeted interventions, and fostering their social, emotional, and academic growth.
A vital aspect of this role is building and sustaining strong, collaborative partnerships with families. By communicating proactively and sensitively with parents and carers, you will ensure a cohesive approach to each child’s education and wellbeing, strengthening the home-school relationship to better support pupil success.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference, assisting in classroom planning, supervising learning activities, and nurturing positive, professional relationships with pupils, colleagues, and the wider school community. Additionally, you will support the induction and development of classroom support staff, helping to share best practice and maintain high standards across the school.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with children, exceptional communication and behaviour management skills, and a firm commitment to inclusion, equality, and safeguarding. If you are motivated, resilient, and enthusiastic about helping every child achieve their full potential, we would love to hear from you.
We are committed to safeguarding and protecting our children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
