About This Opportunity We have a new vacancy for a Machinist to be based at our site in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Your mission in CMbE The candidate will possess the ability to manufacture and inspect parts according to drawing requirements, while ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate will work to audit areas to company 5's standards to operate and set machinery safely and efficiently, and carry out operator tasks. The candidate should be capable of replacing and monitoring cutting tools, communicating effectively with colleagues across shifts, delivering thorough end-of-shift handovers, and providing on-the-job training to apprentices and new employees. The ideal candidate will have experience participating in non-conformance investigations using techniques such as 5 Whys and 8 Disciplines (5Y/8D), and in documenting relevant data. About You Reporting to the Machine Shop Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating machine tools to manufacture engineering components, ensuring all parts meet the required standards and specifications while maintaining high machine efficiency. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of manufacturing small batch complex components. The candidate must be an apprentice trained engineer (NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification minimum), with mechanical and technical flexibility enabling them to work unsupervised. Knowledge of Mazak, Heidenhain or Fanuc controls is desirable but not essential.
