You will be working from our new state-of-the-art council office on the riverside in Stockton, with free parking, a great riverside café, and large modern office spaces.
We are currently recruiting for a qualified Social Worker for our Disabled Children’s Team.
As a Social Worker in our Disabled Children’s team, you will provide support to disabled children with complex and lifelong disabilities and their families, including those who are within our care. This will involve carrying out assessments to devise and implement support packages, which can include short breaks arrangements. You will work closely with both internal and external partners to meet the child’s assessed needs, helping our children and young people to achieve their potential and supporting a smooth and positive transition to adulthood.
We will provide a nurturing environment where your practice will flourish to contribute to positive outcomes for our children, young people and their families. You will work within small friendly teams, have a manageable caseload, and be provided with strong learning resources. You will also receive development support through the social work academy, regular supervision, and career progression opportunities.
To be considered for interview, you will:
