What the role does
The Marketing Assistant supports the Business Development Director by coordinating day-to-day administrative activities, coordinating marketing campaigns, managing digital content, and facilitating effective communication across teams. This office-based role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure the smooth delivery of all marketing and project-related initiatives.
Day-to-day responsibilities
* Prepare high-quality presentations, planning documents, reports, and marketing materials.
* Manage invoices, purchase orders, and supplier documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
* Plan, coordinate, and deliver marketing campaigns across relevant channels.
* Organise team meetings, prepare minutes, and monitor progress on action items.
* Support the organisation of corporate events and business meetings, including logistics, registrations, catering and post-event follow-ups.
* Upload, update, and maintain website content using CMS platforms.
* Create, schedule, and monitor social media content and engagement.
* Liaise with PR and marketing agencies to support ongoing campaigns.
* Assist with bid management and client onboarding, including preparing PQQs and competency questionnaires.
* Maintain and update the bid library, ensuring case studies, CVs, and supporting materials are current.
* Oversee and follow up on outstanding customer invoices to ensure timely payment.
* Assist with digital marketing activities and manage the marketing database and mailing lists.
* Attend workshops and conferences when requested.
* Monitor and maintain stock levels of marketing collateral and office stationery.
* Provide reception, housekeeping and general front office duties.
Who we are looking for
* Previous experience in a marketing role
* Experience of working in a B2B environment.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Good understanding of digital marketing (i.e. social media, email campaigns).
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Desirable extra skills
* Experience working in the property/construction or professional services sectors.
* Conversant with design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, Canva (training will be provided).
* Experience using website CMS and email marketing tools, such as Mailchimp.
* Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
* You will be educated to A Level standard and have a marketing qualification such as a degree or CIM Diploma.
