Salary: 90- 115.89 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work within an Ofsted-rated 'Good' SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Hindley area, Wigan. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for students aged 11-16 who face emotional and behavioural challenges. We are committed to helping each student achieve their full potential through personalised support and tailored interventions
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
Promote the overall well-being of students and contribute to their personal development
What We're Looking For
Experience working with students who have SEMH or other behavioural needs.
Strong knowledge of SEMH and proven strategies for supporting students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, empathetic approach and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Experience in implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions.
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
