Location: Wokingham (Hybrid - 3 days onsite mandatory)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Day Rate: £425 (Inside IR35)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong SQL Server expertise to support critical production database environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, security and resilience of enterprise database platforms across Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and optimisation of database systems. You will work closely with application development, infrastructure and architecture teams to support business-critical systems and ensure high availability, performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Install, configure and maintain Oracle and SQL Server database environments
2. Perform database upgrades, patching, migrations and backup operations
3. Manage database users, roles, privileges and security policies
4. Monitor and optimise database performance (indexing, partitioning, AWR reports, tracing)
5. Troubleshoot slow-running queries and optimise SQL code
