Lead Radiology Assistant

We are looking to recruit additional Radiography Assistants in the Diagnostic Imaging Department and would love to hear from you if you are an organised individual interested in patient care.
Radiography Assistants are essential for the smooth running of the Diagnostic Imaging service, supporting both patients and staff with a range of diagnostic imaging procedures.
Main duties of the job
The role includes:
* Clinical support and patient care during imaging procedures involving MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-Ray.
* Assisting in the movement of beds, wheelchairs, and patients using manual handling equipment provided.
* Preparing the clinical rooms for procedures and working aseptically during procedures.
* Entering data into the radiology computer system.
* Communicating with members of staff outside of the department to arrange complex scanning procedures.
We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who is ready to learn new skills and join our friendly team.
The department operates a seven-day service with shifts involving evenings, weekends, and community hospital sites.

Person Specification
Education, qualifications, and training
* NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience in health and social care
Experience
* Patient care - experience working with patients, vulnerable groups
* Experience of line management
* Experience of change management
Skills, abilities, and knowledge
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and the public
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize workload
* Understanding of confidentiality and its importance
* Evidence of team leadership
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Computer skills
* Understanding of the radiology department
* Knowledge of Trust/HR policies
