Your New Role:As an Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse and high-value client portfolio and lead audit engagements from planning through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing a portfolio of clients with fees totalling approximately £500,000
2. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and partners, ensuring deadlines and queries are managed effectively
3. Leading large and complex audits, offering practical solutions to partners
4. Identifying and managing firm-wide risks, including reputational and credit risks
5. Collating data for inspections, technical reviews, and audit-related enquiries
6. Monitoring timesheet entries for accuracy and appropriate coding
7. Ensuring audit teams stay within budget and time allocations
8. Serving as the primary point of contact for clients on all audit matters
9. Responding promptly to client queries and maintaining high service standards
10. Supporting business development through proposals, presentations, and networking
What You'll Need to Succeed
11. ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
12. Proven experience managing audit teams and client portfolios
13. Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
14. Ability to implement audit methodologies and communicate technical concepts clearly
15. Experience with both substantive and controls-based audits, group reporting, and cross-border engagements
16. Familiarity with accounting frameworks such as UK GAAP and FRS
