Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Equipment Store Technician/Delivery Driver – Arran within our Arran Services team based on the Isle of Arran.
Hours:
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
17.27 hours per week

What you will do:

The post holder is required to work pro-actively, flexibly and collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the health and social care team based on the Isle of Arran. You will be required to provide an important service to the residents of Arran. The community equipment store technician will be required to have demonstrable communication skills as you will be working with people in their own homes and supporting them with their loaned equipment needs. You will be responsible for the oversight, coordination of all NHS and NAC equipment on Isle Arran and will be in regular communication with the multi-disciplinary team on Arran as well as mainland colleagues and a wide variety of stakeholders.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Whilst a range of associated training will be provided, previous experience of working with the public in a caring role would be clearly advantageous. You will need to be able to offer a flexible approach to each working week, problem solve, and work both independently on your own initiative as well as be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team with competing demands.
