We areseekingto appoint anoutstanding middle leader with the ability to teach Music from KS3-KS5 to join our thriving Creative Learning Area, which includesMusic, Art, PerformingArtsand Music Technology.This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious practitioner to work closely with theLearning Area Leader, helping to shape the strategic direction of the department and lead it forward with vision and energy.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Learning Area Leader to develop and refine an ambitious and engaging curriculum, monitor standards of teaching,learningand assessment, drive improvement and secure excellent educational outcomes. They will contribute to a culture of creativity, collaborationand continuous improvement across the Learning Area.
The successful candidate will join a thriving, growing music department where they will teachKS3 Music,lead GCSE and A Level Music provisionand support the new Music Technology course. They will demonstrate a range of skills across the theoretical, compositional and performing aspects of the subject alongside competence in music technology. The role will also include effective liaison withperipatetic music staffthrough our partnership with theChepstow Community Music Centre.
Candidates will play a key role inraising the profile of the Creative Learning Areawithin the school and the wider communitythrough organising and leading high‑profileenrichment and performance events, includingtheChristmasconcertand an annualschoolproduction.
