Join Our Team as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEND children, a strong understanding of inclusive education principles, and possess patience, empathy, and excellent relationship-building skills with children and families.
Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the class teacher and professionals to support learning.
2. Provide one-to-one support and small group assistance.
3. Assist with classroom management.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant.
* Knowledge of SEND and inclusive education.
* Ability to work effectively with children with additional needs.
* Patience and empathy.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent spoken English.
* Minimum of 6 months primary school experience.
* Ability to provide two or more references from the last three years.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanent roles later.
