Harte Recruitment are looking for a Valuer to join a highly regarded Estate Agency to work across the Harrogate and Ripon Areas.

This client-facing role combines the responsibilities of both a Valuer and Senior Sales Negotiator, focusing on promoting the company, generating new business, valuing and listing properties, managing vendors and applicants, and progressing sales through to completion.
As a key representative of the business, you will provide an exceptional level of service to clients, ensuring every interaction reflects the company’s professionalism and commitment to excellence. You’ll lead by example — supporting colleagues, motivating the team, and helping to drive the overall success of the branch. Strong communication skills, in-depth market knowledge, and a proactive, customer-focused approach are essential to succeed in this role.
The Package:
* £30k -£40k With OTE included (D.O.E)
* Monday – Friday 08:45 – 17:30 + 1 in 3 Saturdays 09:00 – 16:00 (day back in lieu during same week)
* 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)

The Valuer Role:
* Conduct property valuations and market appraisals in a professional, confident manner.
* Advise vendors on pricing strategies and marketing approaches to achieve successful outcomes.
* Manage property listings, from taking accurate details and photographs to launching marketing campaigns.
* Handle applicant registrations, viewings, offers, and negotiations — ensuring a smooth sales process from instruction to completion.
* Maintain regular communication with vendors and buyers, providing updates, feedback, and market insights.
* Oversee sales progression, liaising with solicitors, surveyors, and other professionals to ensure timely completions.
* Actively generate new business through canvassing, networking, and building strong local relationships.
The Person:
* Experienced in residential sales, valuations, and negotiations (desirable).
* Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
* Professional, customer-focused, and proactive in generating new business.
* Well-organised with excellent time management abilities.
* Knowledgeable about the local property market or eager to learn quickly.
* Must hold a full UK driving licence.
