Job Title: Optical Manager
Location: Gravesend
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 per week, Shift Pattern: Days (Tuesday‑Saturday 9am‑6pm)
Your Role at Asda
As an Optical Manager, you will oversee and manage the entire optical operation, coordinating with optometrists and optical assistants, ensuring compliance processes, reviewing sales forecasts, and handling customer queries while maintaining smooth shop floor operations.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the optical team and ensuring high quality patient care.
* Overseeing compliance procedures and maintaining regulatory standards.
* Reviewing sales forecasting and departmental targets.
* Handling customer queries and providing excellent service.
* Coordinating clinic management and shop floor processes.
* Coaching and developing staff in partnership with the resident optometrist.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC.
* On track to meet statutory CPD points requirement.
* Confident in coaching and developing team members.
* Strong leadership skills in a fast‑paced optics environment.
* Highly organised with effective time‑management abilities.
* Driven and ambitious to achieve departmental targets.
