Availability Window A schedule is requested for the following times each week: Sun 19:00:00–23:00:00; Tue 09:00:00–19:00:00; Thu 19:00:00–23:00:00; Fri 19:00:00–23:00:00; Sat 19:00:00–23:00:00.
Pay and hours Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It is Tesco policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; opportunities exist to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if preferred.
We will schedule your contracted hours within the requested availability and provide 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We are flexible when your available times closely match the advertised windows.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver to customers from Lands End to John OGroats. This role involves more than driving; it is about delivering great service with a smile and helping customers in their homes.
It is hands-on, physical and varied. While some shifts offer more independence, a team of Managers and colleagues back at base provide support when needed. Tesco welcomes flexibility to suit different lifestyles and experiences for all applicants.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by:
* Keeping the van and trays clean, tidy and organised
* Leaving the back yard clean and free of rubbish; picking up litter as needed
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
* Loading the van, and checking the van for roadworthiness
* Discussing any order changes with customers, including substitutions, and offering refunds as appropriate
* Handling products/deliveries with care
* Explaining to customers that substitutions will not incur extra charges
* Delivering within the customer’s time slot
* Calling the customer before arrival if early
* Calling the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit
* Warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and thank them
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change in the store
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations while maintaining balance between home and work
* Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues to improve the store for customers
* A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
