What is the role?
The purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Engineering Team, who coordinate design and maintain technical support to all regional departments and site-based teams to enable the region to achieve its objectives and goals.
Primary Responsibilities
* Provide engineering support and technical guidance for regional site and office-based operations
* Assist in producing designs within agreed timescales to meet regional targets
* Assist in the production of engineering drawings for start on site, including infrastructure, foundations, and remediation proposals
* Address Building Regulation/CML issues
* Collaborate with design and planning teams to deliver planning consents
* Work closely with the Architectural Team to resolve engineering issues related to planning applications
* Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and statutory authorities
* Maintain documentation for the standard product portfolio
* Prepare and coordinate Legal Conveyance Plans
* Assist in the preparation of Land Appraisal Viabilities
What experience do I need?
* Ideally undertaking or completed a construction-related course such as BTEC Construction and the Built Environment or A Levels, with a keen interest in design
* Proficient in Excel and Word
* Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous
* Use own initiative
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Team player and capable of working independently
* Problem-solving skills and visualisation abilities
* Attend Day Release College/University to obtain a Construction-related HNC or Degree
* Commit to continuous professional development
* Achieve A-C grades in Mathematics, English, and Science
