Operations Assistant
We are looking for an Operations Assistant to join our team and support the Operations & Finance Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our day-to-day operations. This varied role will suit someone who is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing administrative, logistical, and compliance responsibilities.

Main Purpose of the Role
To provide administrative, logistical, and compliance support across the business, maintaining accurate records, coordinating activities, overseeing site and inventory needs, and ensuring health, safety, and company policies are followed to create a safe, effective, and well-organised working environment.
This is a full-time permanent role, based in Leighton Buzzard with some travel to other sites.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Operations Manager with daily operational and administrative tasks.
· Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring company activities and projects.
· Maintain records, reports, and operational documentation.
· Track inventory, supplies, and orders to ensure workflow efficiency.
· Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve operational issues.
· Support project planning, monitoring, and delivery.
· Assist with processing invoices, expenses, and purchase orders.
· Coordinate site maintenance needs as required.
· Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety, and fire safety policies.
· Assist with managing client concerns to ensure timely, professional resolution.
· Travel to other sites when required to support operational needs.
We're looking for someone who can bring:
· Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
· Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
· A proactive and solution-focused approach to work.
· Confidence with IT systems (MS Office, databases, or similar).
· Highly proficient in the use of MS Excel is essential
· Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Flexibility to travel between sites when required.
· An understanding of health & safety compliance.
· Experience within the veterinary industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
