An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand the Gynaecology Oncology Nursing Team to meet the evolving needs of the service and support further service development. This is a full time, permanent position
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse who is passionate about continuing the excellent work already taking place within the service. The postholder will work alongside the established team to support patientsand those important to themthroughout their journey within Gynaecology Oncology services. The role also includes involvement in quality improvement initiatives and associated audit to ensure the service continues to develop and deliver highquality care.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in Gynaecology and clinical exposure to Oncology practice. They will be confident in providing advice, support and education to patients, families and colleagues.
You will be fully supported in developing advanced interpersonal and communication skills, as the role includes holding complex and sensitive conversations with patients and carers. The post also requires building strong professional relationships with services across both primary and secondary care, working collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Main duties of the job
Collectively manage a clinical caseload, ensuring safe, effective and personcentred care for all patients within the Gynaecology Oncology service.
Act as a primary resource and specialist nursing link throughout the patients cancer journey, offering expert advice, continuity and support.
Deliver clinical excellence within the Gynaecology Cancer Service, providing the highest standards of care to patients and their families in line with national and local guidance.
Provide support, specialist advice, education and leadership to healthcare professionals, promoting a cohesive, holistic, evidencebased approach to patient care.
Work with and develop strong links with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT), both within the Trust and across external organisations, to ensure consistent and coordinated pathways of care.
Ensure a seamless and safe service, proactively identifying issues and taking appropriate action. This includes escalation and reporting through the correct governance processes to maintain high standards of care.
Work alongside the established team to evaluate and demonstrate the benefits of expanding the Gynaecology Oncology Nursing Team, contributing to recommendations for future service development.

* Masters level qualification or equivalent in relevant field.
* 997/998 or equivalent
* Counselling qualification
Experience
* Extensive experience at G Grade within gynaecology.
* Experience of change management.
