Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our restaurant's standards and food safety regulations.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food items prepared.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Help develop new menu items and contribute to the overall culinary creativity of the restaurant.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
