Position
Working as a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) in Adult Inpatient wards across surgery and Medicine at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD). Full time or part time roles available.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the registered nurse to deliver quality, safe care with privacy and dignity.
* Promote and encourage independence, assisting patients with personal hygiene, toileting, eating and drinking, mobilisation.
* Provide enhanced therapeutic care and support patients and family during end of life.
* Undertake enhanced therapeutic observation care such as 1:1 arm's length or cohort/Baywatch as required.
* Carry out all duties as outlined for their specific speciality, which may include work with children, young people, adults and the elderly.
Qualifications and Experience
Band 3 required, with a recognised Care Certificate. Candidates without a Care Certificate will start in Band 2 and be supported to achieve the certificate and progress to Band 3 during probation.
Shift Pattern & Availability
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The role requires full flexibility across all shift patterns, including nights, weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays.
