Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Baden Powell Primary School for three enthusiastic and passionate teaching assistants, with a strong commitment to inclusive education to join our Specialist Resource Base. This specialist provision offers a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with complex needs, ensuring every child and their family feels valued and supported. The SRB provides tailored education for pupils who require a highly differentiated curriculum and specialist strategies to thrive. The Governing Body and Headteacher are seeking to appoint three teaching assistants who have significant experience of working with pupils with Emotional Health and Wellbeing Needs in either specialist provision or mainstream primary schools.

The post requires a level of specialist expertise in supporting pupils with additional needs, together with excellent interpersonal skills. It would offer an excellent opportunity for individuals who wish to extend and enhance their professional development within the field of EHW.

The successful applicant would be an integral part of Baden Powell Primary School, supporting the school in meeting its responsibilities to pupils with ALN. The role will also include working in collaboration and close partnership with the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Team in the Local Authority and with local schools.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
