Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sales Account Manager - On Trade to join our fantastic sales team. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for retaining and growing share in your existing accounts whilst increasing our brand footprint and market share within the On-Trade sector across the North-West UK region (Manchester and Liverpool).
You will build relationships with customers and wholesale partners to secure tap listings and drive sales growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with excellent communication and presentation skills, a passion for beer, and an understanding of the drinks industry. You will have the confidence and commercial awareness to push boundaries to increase sales, and a track record of exceeding targets to help drive business.
This position is field based and may require occasional travel to our Huddersfield brewery.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The key responsibilities of a Sales Account Manager include, but are not limited to:
* Manage a ledger of existing customers.
* Identify, target, propose and win new customers, either through direct supply or via our RTM (wholesale) partners
* Present the product portfolio to customers and RTM (wholesale) partners in the most compelling way.
* Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the market and its key players.
* Deliver a high level of customer service and ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
* Present compelling and commercial deal structures for our range within all On Trade selling opportunities.
* Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
* Attend events and conventions to promote our brands and portfolio.
* Maintain effective communication with the sales team and other departments.
* Review ledger performance on Volume, Cash and Rate and work with the Channel Controller to close any gaps to targets.
Qualifications
The key skills and qualities of a Sales Account Manager are:
* On-Trade Sales experience ideally at Account Management level is a must.
* Knowledge of the On-Trade, preferably within the Craft Beer category.
* Working knowledge of the local scene in Manchester and Liverpool.
* In-depth understanding of the drinks market and what it takes to make Craft Beer succeed in the On Trade.
* To know what it takes to retain and grow share in your accounts whilst having an unshakeable passion for winning new, profitable new business.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen and numerical/logical reasoning skills.
* Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and plan effectively.
* Highly motivated, ambitious, and passionate with team-oriented mindset.
* Strong negotiation skills.

* Salary £32,000-£35,000 depending on experience
