We are currently recruiting an experienced and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated team in Northumberland, providing high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting. As a Residential Support Worker, you will: Provide consistent, compassionate care in a secure and nurturing environment. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people at all times. Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage growth and resilience. Support young people with daily routines, learning, and independent living skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues, education, physical and mental health teams, and external professionals to create personalised care plans. Maintain clear and accurate records, always upholding safeguarding standards. Key Requirements: Proven experience working in a residential or supported living environment, ideally with vulnerable children or young people. Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care principles. Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility: Willingness to work a rota pattern including early, late, sleep-in shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. Contract length: 3-6 months (with expectation of an ongoing extension) Rate of Pay: £16.25 per hour Hours: Full time, 37 hours each week.
