Job Description - The Role On behalf of our Financial Services Client we are looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator for an initial 6 Month Day Rate Contract based in the bank's London office on a hybrid working model. Purpose of the Role: The Performance & Reward team is responsible for designing and implementing performance, remuneration, and incentive programmes, with a strong emphasis on payroll operations. Responsibilities of the role: End-to-End Payroll Processing: Overseeing payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing, compliance with regulations, and alignment with company policies. Payroll Systems & Compliance: Managing payroll systems, ensuring they integrate with compensation & benefits structures, and keeping up with legislative requirements. Analysis & Reporting: Researching and analysing payroll trends, workforce cost structures, and external labour market influences to optimise payroll processes. Process Improvement & Governance: Leading improvements in payroll efficiency, ensuring governance and performance standards are upheld. Benefits & Compensation Integration: Aligning payroll with broader compensation, benefits, and work/life balance initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with suppliers, clients, and regulators on payroll and reward programmes, ensuring seamless coordination with regional and global teams. What we require from the candidate: Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, including payroll calculations, compliance, and systems management. Strong understanding of payroll legislation, governance, and industry best practices. Experience working with HR and finance teams to align payroll with broader business objectives. Excellent analytical skills to review payroll trends and drive improvements. This role is ideal for a seasoned payroll professional who can ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while supporting the broader performance and reward strategies of the organisation. Next steps This client will only accept workers operating via a PAYE engagement model.
