Music and Drama Teacher
Reading, Berkshire Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner) Full-time (Part-time considered)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Music and Drama Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school in Reading. This role is ideal for an inspiring educator who can engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), bringing both subjects to life through dynamic teaching and performance opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Music and Drama
* Inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression in all students
* Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum
* Organise and lead extracurricular activities, including school productions, performances, and clubs
* Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed
* Contribute to the wider life of the school and enrichment programme
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Music and/or Drama at secondary level
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* A passion for the performing arts and student development
* The ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
* Willingness to contribute to school productions and events
