The Legal counsel position will hold the following responsibilities: Be responsible for the development of several projects Manage projects from pre-application through to completion Advising on acquisitions, consenting and engagement strategies, environmental impact assessments habitats regulations and DCO implementation Work with the wider project team for the submission of Development Consent Orders Respond to requests under the Freedom of Information Act Provide comprehensive legal advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of matters Work with the team to manage and mitigate risks Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies Support projects and transactions by providing timely and accurate legal input Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments The Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Counsel should have: Qualified solicitor status or equivalent legal qualification 3 years+ of relevant post qualification experience Prior experience and understanding of Development Consent Orders is essential A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical and solutions-focused approach Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels What\'s on Offer
