Overview
Are you a senior structural/civil marine engineer looking for the next step in your career? With us, you get to work on globally significant projects, both locally and internationally, whilst working with leading professionals within the maritime sector.
What will you do
Your role will involve using your technical and practical experience to develop engineering design solutions for maritime civil engineering structures in ports and shipyards, utilizing materials such as steel, concrete, and timber according to relevant design codes. * Prepare designs and analysis for maritime and associated structures for ports and shipyards.
* Carry out inspections and surveys.
* Produce design calculations and check and review calculations produced by others.
* Check and review models and drawings before issuing them.
* Prepare Bills of Quantities, Contract Documents, and Specifications.
* Undertake structural analyses and reporting.
Your role will involve giving presentations to client organisations and internal audiences, providing engineering judgment and advice, and reviewing (or preparing) study reports to a high standard of written English. You will provide commercial awareness of projects to deliver profitable results within the programme by setting and agreeing expectations and achieving on-time delivery. You will contribute to local, national, and international business development efforts through the production of proposals and interaction with clients.
