Your New JobHays Education is recruiting for a passionate and skilled Construction Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive alternative provision school in Macclesfield. This is a full-time, long-term temporary role, starting as soon as possible or from September 2025. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical construction lessons to students aged 13–16 who require a more personalised and supportive educational environment.
Your NewpanyThis alternative provision school is a small, specialist setting that supports young people who have struggled to thrive in mainstream education. Many students have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and the school adopts a trauma-informed, relational approach to teaching and learning. The school is known for its:

What You'll Need to Succeed
6. QTS, QTLS, or a relevant teaching/training qualification in construction or a related field
7. Experience teaching construction or vocational subjects, ideally within an alternative provision, PRU, or SEMH setting
8. A strong understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed practice
9. Excellent classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with students
10. A flexible, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching
