Altum Consulting are working with a leading FMCG company to recruit an Interim Finance Director position based in Central London. This role is a 6-month contract offering the opportunity to lead a high-impact finance function within a fast-paced and growing business. Applying candidates must be available on a short notice period.
Finance Director role:
* Lead the overall financial strategy and operations of the business
* Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the Board
* Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory obligations
* Design and implement financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management practices
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning across all business functions
* Provide commercial insight and financial analysis to support decision-making at the executive level
* Partner closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to drive profitability and efficiency
* Lead system improvement initiatives and support finance transformation projects
* Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
As a Finance Director you'll be/have:
* A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience
* Experience working within the FMCG, retail, or consumer goods sector
* Strong leadership skills and proven success managing finance teams and influencing C-suite stakeholders
* A strategic thinker with commercial acumen and a data-driven approach
* Experience driving business performance through financial planning and analysis
* Hands-on, adaptable, and solutions-focused, able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Available to start on a short notice period
