Offer description

An opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Band 6 Specialist Cardiac Radiographer within Cardiology & X-ray Imaging. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic HCPC registered radiographer to join our dynamic imaging team at UHPT. Applications are welcomed from Radiographers with proven experience within an acute care setting, demonstrating a sound clinical knowledge of diagnostic radiography from within the UK and the NHS in general. Previous demonstrable experience of working within a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory in the NHS & UK and participation in a 24/7 on‑call service is highly desirable.

The department has three state‑of‑the‑art Philips Azurion 7 Cardiac Imaging Systems. These include fully integrated IVUS, OCT and pressure wire systems. There will be a rotation into the general x‑ray department and a 24/7 on‑call rota covering the associated specialty.

Recent collaboration with Cardiology has enabled suitably motivated Cardiac Radiographers to study at post‑graduate level in Echocardiography with a view to career progression and possible reporting opportunities at Band 7 level.

This position carries a commitment to Agenda for Change compliant 7‑day working at Derriford Hospital and you will be expected to work flexible hours across the week.
