Bristol and South Gloucestershire Swimming Club (BSG) wishes to appoint a swimming coach to work at selected sites across the Bristol metropolitan area. This can be a full or part-time PAYE position with a competitive salary and include specific squad responsibilities, depending on experience, expertise and size.
BSG is one of the South West’s premier swimming clubs with around 900 swimmers. We teach learn-to-swim, have recreational, competitive and performance pathways, masters and dedicated provision for para and those with additional needs. This role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to work within a team of professional swimming coaches and in an aspirational club that has 21 swimmers taking part in national competitions this summer.

Coaching Role
You will:
* Have a squad responsibility for one of our competitive swimming squads - specific allocation will be based on experience, expertise and the size of the role.
* Lead and coach the University of West England Squad – as part of our partnership with them.
* Take groups/squads at pools across Bristol in the week and at weekends.
* Attend competitions - as part of paid overtime.
* Work collaboratively with the wider teaching and coaching team.
* Work with and take direction from the Performance Director and Head Coach.
* Work early mornings and evenings, including weekends.

Qualifications Required/Safeguarding Compliance:
* We welcome applications from swimming coaches who hold the Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate (ASA Level 2 Award). However, we will consider applications from those who hold the Swim England Assistant Coaching Certificate and are ready to obtain their Swimming Coach Certificate.
* Willingness to undertake a pool supervision qualification, such as NRASTC is desirable.
* A UK driving licence and/or the ability to travel to different swimming pools within/around Bristol.
* Up-to-date Swim England Safeguarding Certificate, or to commit to completing this before starting.
* The right to work in the UK.
