Responsibilities
* Shunting trains and keeping them moving within the TrainCare Centre boundaries, ensuring everything is where it needs to be.
* Fuelling trains and replenishing water tanks, keeping the essentials topped up.
* Preparing trains for service, making sure they’re safe and ready to hit the tracks.
* Follow safety instructions and operate in a safety and time-critical environment to ensure everything stays on track.
Qualifications and requirements
* Currently live within a 45-minute car journey from the TrainCare Centre you work from.
* Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
* Pass the safety critical medical assessment, including drugs and alcohol screening.
* Have no defective colour vision.
* Pass the required psychometric standard.
Please note this role is safety critical and subject to Rail Safety & Standards Board (RSSB) regulations. If you meet the minimum criteria for the role, your application will be considered.
