This role focuses on both Sales and Customer Service. The ideal candidate will be skilled at maximising sales opportunities, providing excellent customer service and supporting the team to achieve high-performance standards. This role is to go to differant sites each day in a geographical area.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
* Drive Sales Growth: Actively promote products and services to increase sales and achieve targets.
* Convert Leads: Effectively turn potential customers into paying customers.
* Upsell Services: Promote additional services like enhanced liability coverage to customers.
* Merchandise Sales: Encourage sales of merchandise and provide recommendations to customers.
Customer Service
* Exceed Expectations: Consistently provide exceptional customer service and motivate others to do the same.
* Deliver High-Quality Service: Maintain the highest standards of service across all interactions (in person, email, and phone).
* Understand & Advise: Actively listen to customer needs and offer appropriate advice and solutions.
* Follow‑Up: Diligently handle customer enquiries and follow up as needed.
* Professionalism: Maintain a calm and professional demeanor with all customers.
Marketing & Competitor Awareness
Stay informed about competitor activities.
Health, Safety & Maintenance
Conduct daily safety checks, adhere to emergency procedures, report maintenance needs, maintain store cleanliness and perform regular maintenance checks.
Security
Monitor store security via systems and visual checks, prevent storage of prohibited items, understand emergency procedures, conduct fire alarm/emergency lighting tests, and oversee store activity outside working hours when needed.
Administration
Complete store administrative tasks, reconcile accounts, assist with banking, manage invoicing and collections, maintain customer records, and generate financial/marketing reports.
Team Management
Organise work and delegate tasks, provide guidance and feedback, assist with training and development, communicate company updates, maintain employee relations, and ensure adherence to dress code and working hours policies.
General
Report operational issues, suggest improvements, undertake ad‑hoc duties, attend meetings on behalf of the Store Manager, and ensure respectful treatment of colleagues and compliance with data protection regulations.
Your Skill Set
* Self‑motivated, self‑starting and hard working.
* Competent with MS Office.
* A strong communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Bright, positive and enthusiastic.
* Experienced in consultative sales and delivery of first‑class customer service.
* Literate and numerate.
The successful candidate will also live within 45 minutes of the store. Previous experience in telesales consultative sales and/or customer service is essential.
