The Role: Solution Director – Fabric and Databricks
As Technical Solution Director in the central Practice Area, you will develop and drive the growth of our Data business, specifically aligned with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. leveraged relationships with Microsoft and Databricks to develop our Go to Market strategy and deliver through AND's club model. You will lead the inception of solutions, engage with senior clients, and grow internal capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead our propositions and Practice Area IP
* Own, manage and evolve our proposition in the areas of Fabric and Databricks solutions
* Own the technical alliance relationships with both Microsoft and Databricks, positioning AND as a key consulting and delivery partner
* Be a leader within the Data Practice Area, driving quality and consistency in delivery, and growing talent and capability
* Develop and promote thought leadership to position our brand in the market and engage the broader data community
* Develop training pathways and collateral to grow internal capability, supporting ANDis with mentorship and coaching
* Explore client problems and act as a high-level trusted advisor for equivalent C-suite executives (CPO/CTO/CDO)
* Nurture client relationships to understand business needs and challenges
* Demonstrate Fabric and Databricks solutions, linking development to outcomes
* Solution Design: shape and elicit business requirements into robust solutions; develop business cases to support buying
* Guide and mentor AND teams to ensure alignment with the original vision and delivery of outcomes
* Identify opportunities and lead deal development; prioritise efforts for the right commercial outcomes
* Partner with Client Partnership teams and clubs in deal development and pursuit; educate and upskill them
* Achieve a sales target contributing to opportunity conversions (Revenue attribution target around £2m+; leveraged across AND)
* Lead and develop ANDis on engagements, helping grow capabilities across the business
* Provide vision, inspiration and motivation across the Data practice area
Skills & Experience For The Role
* Deep & Broad Technical Expertise: Expert-level knowledge with hands-on proficiency in Microsoft and Databricks; knowledge across the data spectrum from warehousing to AI tooling
* Strategic Thinking & Vision: Ability to connect data and technology capabilities to business strategy and develop long-term roadmaps
* Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to dissect complex problems, analyze root causes, and design innovative solutions
* Communication & Presentation: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
* Leadership & Influence: Influence and lead technical teams and stakeholders
* Commercial Acumen: Understanding of how to identify opportunities that deliver value to client and AND
