The Opportunity
As a Student Advisor you will be the first contact point for UG and PGT (on-campus and online) students within Biomedical Sciences, providing professional guidance and support, including additional assistance where needed, to navigate the University support systems. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, the role will enable students to achieve their potential, as well as ensure parity of experience for all students.

This post is part-time (27 hours per week) hours of which can be negotiated on appointment to meet the needs of the service. This is a fixed term appointment for 1 year. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your Skills And Attributes For Success
We are looking for individuals who like working in a vibrant environment.
Educated to HND level, or equivalent related experience (previous relevant work experience, or broad experience). Knowledge of and sensitivity to the complex areas of student support. Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to remain calm and centre the needs of the student, being able to provide a safe and welcoming space for students. Experience of working independently and as part of the team to prioritiseworkloads. Active listening and excellent communication skills.

About The Team
