Location: London Waterloo (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite)
Salary: Up to £72'807 + excellent benefits

My client, the London Fire Brigade, is seeking an experienced and RICS‑certified Estates Management Surveyor to join the Estates & Property Team at their headquarters in Waterloo. Reporting directly to the Head of Property Services, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational management of a diverse estate of approximately 103 properties, many of which are freehold.
Key Responsibilities
The Estates Management Surveyor will be responsible for delivering estates management services directly, including:
Asset & Estates Management
Active asset management across a large and complex public‑sector estate.
Managing landlord & tenant matters, land & property transactions, and all relevant estates revenues (headlease, tenant, and residential).
Overseeing disposals and acquisitions of property.Operational Estates Duties
Estates budget management including rent collection, service charge oversight, tenant relations, and coordination of tenant maintenance/repairs.
Handling applications for licences to underlet, assign, or alter.
Managing headlease and tenanted service charges.
Conducting rent reviews, lease renewals, and minor dilapidations claims.
Ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements in all property-related matters.Cross-Department Collaboration
Supporting project, compliance, and facilities management teams on estate-related matters as required.About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
RICS qualification (essential).
Proven experience in active asset management within a public sector, corporate, or investment property environment.
Strong technical knowledge of landlord & tenant legislation and estates management best practice.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and manage a wide range of stakeholders.Benefits
