Legal Finance Associate Director at Pentagon Talent
Financial Analyst - Legal Sector

Overview:
A well-established international law firm is seeking a confident and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join its team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This position is available on a fully remote basis within the UK, or from offices in London or Bristol with hybrid flexibility. This is a great opportunity for an early-career finance professional to gain hands-on experience supporting commercial decision-making within a fast-paced, professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Financial Analyst:
* Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes
* Conduct analysis of financial performance to provide insights to senior stakeholders
* Prepare clear and accurate financial models, summaries, and reporting packs
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial trends
* Support month-end and year-end financial processes
* Conduct variance analysis and contribute to cost-efficiency reviews
* Maintain and enhance financial spreadsheets and reporting templates
* Collaborate with finance and operational teams across the business
* Assist with ad-hoc analysis and support ongoing finance projects
Candidate Profile for the Financial Analyst:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related subject
* Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or actively studying towards qualification
* 1-2 years' experience in a finance analyst or similar role
* Experience in a professional services or legal sector environment is desirable
* Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modelling
* Excellent communication skills - able to present complex financial information clearly
* Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* A commercial mindset and strong attention to detail
